jQuery gets some love

If you follow web development, you probably already know about javaScript and the open source libraries available such as jQuery, MooTools & Scriptaculous.  From these javascript libraries, jQuery is my favorite because it’s light weight and easy to understand, which is very important when you’re trying to hack it to pieces :-)

I’m very excited about the future of jQuery as Microsoft and Nokia start to bundle it with their programs. That’s right, Microsoft has said it will ship Visual Studio 2008 and add intellisense support for jQuery. How awesome is that?!

There are thousands of websites out there that could use a little face lift and I think jQuery is the ticket for rapid, modern, web UI development.

Yeah, Google support for jQuery would be the icing on the cake! Jrails already provides support for Ruby on Rails.
