Everybody knows this by now, but I just gotta say that last.fm is awesome! Their website let’s you listen to almost anything you want; just type the name of an artist or a tag such as “jazz” and start listening to music online!
If you don’t like what they are playing, just click a button and you will never hear it again. When you hear something you like, you can express your love for that track by clicking on an icon shaped like a heart. Over time, their system recognizes the type of music you like and don’t like and recommends music to you based on your taste.
Oh yeah, you can also create widgets that play your music everywhere. Go ahead give this a try…
A few weeks ago, I set out to create a business card using an open source vector program and decided i would try both Xara Xtreme and Inskcape.
I started out using both programs, but quickly settled down with Inkscape. After trying out a few features, the Inkscape GUI felt a bit more polished and more intuitive than Xara Xtreme.
Take a look at my first stab at creating a business card using Inkscape.

At this juncture, I’d have to say that using Inkscape to create a business card is not only possible, but also a painless experience. I will of course spend a little more time cleaning up my vector graphic before sending it to the printer.
I also can’t help to love their slogan, which is: Draw Freely.
