Electro Automotive has created the Voltsporsche Kit, an electro conversion kit specifically built for the Porsche 914.
The kit replaces the standard 4 cylinder engine with a 120-volt system capable of producing 85 mph top speed and 80 to 100 miles per charge.
I really like that fact that I will be able to drive up to 100 miles before having to recharge. The price of the kit is currently $13,415
I’m definitely considering purchasing this kit for my 1975 Porsche 914.

THis is going to kick so much ass when its electric. Can you imagine people giving you a funny look because they think its an old poluting machine, until you politely inform them that no it runs off electricity generated by solar energy (because by then we will have panels).
If I had money to burn I would invest it in conversions of vintage cars.
