Do you Ubuntu?

Ubuntu 7.04 was released on April 19th and it’s freaking awesome! This version brings several new enhancements; And I am specially excited about a Touchpad package that I happen to find while customizing my rig.

It basically makes the Touchpad on my laptop fully functional and configurable once again. It’s the little things that makes computing fun…

The project cycle

I saw this once before at work. It is a funny but true, graphical representation of a project cycle. Thanks to stumbleUpon, I get to laugh about it one more time.

Roller Coaster Mix

Today, I submitted my entry for the Mix conference contest.

Here is my REMIX:
Roller Coaster Mix

The Mix conference website is also hosting all the contest entries in a gallery. There are some really good designs as well as funny ones — definitely worth a few minutes.

Mix conference & contest

If you follow any Microsoft web development, then you probably know that Mix 07 starts on April 30th in Las Vegas. Mix is a conference for web designers and it’s also Microsoft’s effort to lure more designers to their platform.

Microsoft is putting on a contest to redesign the Mix conference website. 3 winners will win a trip to the conference and 10 others will win a Zune player.

I don’t care too much for another MP3 player, but I’d love to attend the conference and talk shop with other web designers. So I am going to work on my piece and enter the contest. The only catch is that it has to be done by next week, so I gotta work fast!
